Hire Supabase developers · Dedicated, monthly

Hire Supabase developers who start in 5 to 10 days.

Full-stack engineers who build on Supabase and know it is PostgreSQL underneath: they write the migrations and row level security policies, wire up Auth and Storage, and ship the Next.js or React Native app on top. Vetted in five steps, working in your tools and time zone, with a two-week replacement guarantee.

What a Supabase developer does on our teams

A Supabase developer on our team owns the backend and the app that uses it. They design the PostgreSQL schema, write versioned SQL migrations, and write row level security policies they test with a real account for every role. They put rules that must never be bypassed into Postgres functions, then build the Next.js or React Native screens on top. On FlowerPV City, a city-quiz web app we built for FlowerPV in Germany, the database runs on Supabase PostgreSQL 17 in the EU with 11 migrations and 27 row level security policies. Anonymous visitors never touch Supabase directly: server routes use the secret key, while admins and partner logins use server-side sessions through @supabase/ssr. A submit_answer function locks the visitor row so points cannot be awarded twice. The client ordered a second round of features after the proof of concept was handed over.

How we assess Supabase developers

  • Row level security: write policies for a multi-tenant table and prove with two accounts that one user cannot read or change another's rows
  • Data and SQL: model a realistic feature such as bookings with capacity, with constraints and a Postgres function that handles concurrent requests
  • Auth and sessions: server-side auth in Next.js, roles in app metadata, invitations and password reset flows
  • Production habits: migrations in Git, separate staging and production projects, backups, and keeping the secret key out of the browser
  • Sample task: add organisations and roles to a small Supabase and Next.js app with policies and tests in four hours

FAQ

Hiring Supabase developers, answered.

Do your Supabase developers also build the front end?

Yes. They are full-stack: the database, policies and edge functions, plus the Next.js web app or React Native mobile app that uses them.

Can they fix an app generated with Lovable or Bolt?

Yes, that is a common first task. They audit the row level security and secrets, then fix payments and data logic. See our vibe code cleanup service for the audit and sprint prices.

Do they work in our Supabase organisation?

Yes. They work in your Supabase projects and Git repository with the access you grant, keep migrations in version control and never hold your production keys outside your accounts.
