How the comparison is calculated.
Our side uses the monthly rates on each hire page, all-inclusive for a full-time engineer, multiplied by twelve. Senior engineers start at $4,000 a month.
The US side uses Bureau of Labor Statistics wages for May 2024 and adds benefits and payroll taxes. BLS employer-cost data for June 2026 shows wages are 68.5 percent of total compensation for full-time private-industry workers, so we divide salary by that share. Recruiting, equipment and office costs are not included.

How does the offshore team cost calculator work?
It multiplies our published monthly rate for each role and seniority by twelve, and compares it with the cost of employing the same people in the US: the BLS salary for that level plus benefits and payroll taxes, which make up 31 percent of total compensation for full-time private-industry workers.
Which US salaries are used?
BLS May 2024 wages for software developers: the 25th percentile ($103,050) for mid-level, the median ($133,080) for senior and the 75th percentile ($169,000) for lead engineers. QA engineers use the median for software QA analysts and testers ($102,610).
What is included in your monthly rate?
Salary, benefits, equipment, office, HR and management overhead for a full-time engineer working 160 hours a month in your tools. There is no recruitment fee.
Why is the saving shown as a range?
Our rates are ranges by seniority and stack, while the US figure is a single national benchmark. Salaries in San Francisco or New York are well above the national median, so savings there are larger.
What does the calculator leave out?
US recruiting fees, equipment, office space, software licences and the time it takes to hire, all of which widen the gap. It also leaves out the management time you spend with any team, onshore or offshore.
