The challenge

Where they started.

  • Customer journeys involved too many steps and manual back-office handling.
  • A fixed launch date with little room for slippage.
  • The new experience had to work for existing customers as well as new sign-ups.
What we did

The approach.

  • Simplified the main service flows and rebuilt them with a clear, consistent interface.
  • Automated the back-office steps that previously required manual intervention.
  • Ran short sprints with frequent demos so scope decisions were made quickly against the deadline.
Deliverables

What shipped.

  • Redesigned customer flows and UI
  • Web front end and supporting services
  • Back-office automation
  • Launch support and post-launch fixes
In detail

How the engagement ran.

Context

Flashost provides hosting and related services and wanted to streamline how customers discover, order and manage those services. The existing experience involved unnecessary steps and inconsistent screens. The goal was a faster, friendlier customer journey delivered on a tight timeline.

How we worked

Two engineers and a designer worked in short sprints against a fixed launch date, prioritising the ordering and account-management flows first. Prototypes were reviewed with the client before each build cycle, and end-to-end tests were written for the ordering path so changes could ship quickly without regressions. The team kept a shared checklist of launch tasks and delivered the release on schedule, followed by a stabilisation period with the same engineers.

Outcome

What changed.

  • Streamlined services and a user-friendly experience for customers, per the client.
  • Delivery on a tight deadline, which the client singled out as impressive.
  • A professional working relationship the client says produced the results they wanted.
